Re: Fuel tank change

So I'm about to embark on this same project for my '78 GT. I've noticed now that at some point the rear part of the boot has been reinforced, I presume after some body repair work. The rear two bolts are not in place, with a L shaped piece of steel welded over the holes, and the tank being held in p...

I'm not a terribly far drive from them, so I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with their service shop. Could be a convenient option for work I'm n...

Re: trip counter

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I'm having the same problem. I'll reset to zero, it'll run fine for a couple of miles, then stop. This morning driving in to work (I commute about 12 miles each way one or two days a week in my '78 GT), it did the standard work-fine-then-stop, but when I turned ...

Re: Fuel tank change

Good luck! I have one of the touring tanks on backorder from Moss and will be installing it in my '78 as soon as it arrives. As it stands, mine has what I presume to be a rather large rust hole near the top, judging by the amount of petrol that was on the ground when I parked it on a steep-ish incli...

Re: Seat Rails Nut Stripped?

So drilled out the bolt hole and tapped it to M8 1.25. Got the carpet, insulation, shims, and seat positioned back in the car, went to tighten down the bolts...and the bolt (which I had previously tested in the hole and appeared to be good and tight) just started spinning after I got it snug. Presum...

Re: Seat Rails Nut Stripped?

Good idea. That should prevent having to drill it out more, right?

Re: Need Help Identifying a Part

Aha! One of the inputs must have broken off this one and a previous owner installed the unitary reservoir/pump unit.
