The Register organised an informal social gathering for members between the South West and Abingdon Works Centre areas in the May half-term week.

A last-minute forced change of venue saw eight members and seven cars converge at the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop, south of Andover, in unseasonally high temperatures and cloudless skies. The summerweather encouraged many to take scenic routes to and from the gathering, makingthe most of the great roadsand charming villages that can be found in the area. MGB Roadsters and GTs spanning 1965 through to 1980 attended, including two LE models (one eachof a roadster and GT). The Apache Café at the museum provided some shelter from the sun and an opportunity to chat over a mid-morning breakfast, before returning to the parked cars to peer under bonnets and chat once again. Thank you to members Paul Critchley, Peter Mitchell, Ollie Brant and Ian Money along with a few usual suspects from the Register committee, Martyn Lucas, Graham Dix, Mike Barclay and Neil Brant. The Register, in conjunction with the South West Centre, organised another informal social gathering for members at the Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum on Saturday June 20. Members brought a good number and assortment of MG cars along: MGAs, Bs and single examples of Midget, C and TF. MGBs were very well represented with awide assortment of roadsters and GTs, including LEs and a Jubilee. A sociable time was had chatting about all things MG before heading off on the lovely Wiltshire roads mid-afternoon.
