What to do with a rust bucket
I have a 2nd '77 roadster which mechanically was great (until I took it off the road). But body wise it was an absoute shed. I can't really afford or justify the expense of getting it back on the road. But the engine and running gear are really good. What else can I do with it? I did see that there ...

Exhaust manifold refurbishment
How much should I roughly be looking at to have an exhaust manifold restudded? I can paint it myself but the studs are knackered.

Re: Squeaking wheel
Just drive it for now. Come winter I think it'll be replace the brake discs, pads, fit new poly bushes and refresh suspension front and rear. Maybe fit a lowering kit as well ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Re: Squeaking wheel
Found the cause of the squeak. It was a pair of knackered steering gaiters. So they have been replaced. What is odd with this car is the big ticket items have been done but there's lots of little cheap but fiddly ones (Overdrive switch, tired old dizzy, steering gaiters) that haven't been done or ha...

Re: Squeaking wheel
It has some on. But the squeak isn't when braking. The brakes make no noise at all when in use.

Squeaking wheel
I have a squeak coming from my front wheels. At first I thought it might be a wheel bearing so I took the hubs off on both sides and they're fine. They look like they're in good condition. If they were on my bicycle where the tolerances are probably a lot finer I'd be happy with them. I did have to ...

Re: Hood captive nuts
The repair kits arrived yesterday. Fitted this morning and they work brilliantly. Really easy to do as well. Was a case of bending the nut out of the way where there was already one in place. Drill a hole with a 7mm bit and screw it down.

Hood captive nuts
4 of the 6 nuts that hold the hood on my 77 Roadster have either come loose or gone missing. A previous owner has tried to use Riv nuts. I've never welded before (plus not owning any welding equipment) so I'm not confident doing that myself. Anyone near to Barry (South Wales) able to help or suggest...

Both the sills need replacing along with the boot lid and bonnet.
