Re: Can’t refit Distributor!
Thanks so much folks! Just read your replies and rotated 180 degrees. Can’t say why it wouldn’t go in before as I hadn’t rotated while it was out! But, rotated and it slid right on in! Great. Thanks again for your swift help ...problem sorted. Till the next one eh! ! ![👍](//twemoji.maxcdn.com/2/svg/1f44d.svg)

Can’t refit Distributor!
Hi. I know, I know, sounds silly but during my rebuild, I just can’t get the distributor to go in the hole again. I had it in, but when I fitted the engine, I then had to remove it again to get the starter in. Am I missing something here... it feels like it’s hitting something before it fully seats ...

MGB GT 1975 Speedo cable into gearbox query
Hi. I have the above car that I’m restoring and the gearbox has leaked all over the place since buying, but in stripping it down I found that when I removed the speedo cable from the gearbox end by removing a 1screw clamp, that there was no seal under the abutting faces. I think this area is open to...

MGB GT DOOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN YEARS
Hi. I have a 1975 MGB GT, early rubber bumper. The doors are pretty shot through with rust. When looking for replacements, are there any differences between the pre-1975 chrome bumper and the later rubber bumper versions of door. Will the early ones fit the later ones basically? Cheers. Garry.

MGB GT NEW COLOUR QUERY
Hi. I’m beginning to think about the new colour scheme for my MGB GT that I’m working on and I’ve seen photos of a nice MGB in what I can see is called Metallic Sage Green? When I look at MG colour charts I can’t see this selection. Is this a later MG/Rover colour that was used on other cars ? Does ...

Re: MGB GT A PILLAR GONE...
Ok. So I started plugging away at this repair and have had a mare as usual. But slowly making progress. The problems are in the forming of the plates to be welded and profiling to give a moderately good appearance. At the end of the day, no matter what I do it's going to need some filler to achieve ...

Re: MGB GT A PILLAR GONE...
Ok. So I’ve made a start. It’s pretty tough going as there isn’t much to weld onto. I’ve got hold of a few forming blocks for the sheet metal I’ve got and so far, seems to be going ok. Lots more to do but trying to keep positive. Obviously, I’ll be laying on filler, but expected that anyway. The tri...
