MGB GT DOOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN YEARS
Hi. I have a 1975 MGB GT, early rubber bumper. The doors are pretty shot through with rust. When looking for replacements, are there any differences between the pre-1975 chrome bumper and the later rubber bumper versions of door. Will the early ones fit the later ones basically? Cheers. Garry.

Re: MGB GT DOOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN YEARS
Hello Gary.
The main changes to the doors predate the change to rubber bumpers.
A chrome bumper door from a BGT that had the larger internal handle come arm rest will be the same as on a rubber bumper car. Before those handles and the corporate inside latch/lock handle there were a number of changes. For the exact change point its best to look at Clausengers (sp?) book.
