WANTED Banjo axle diff

We are looking for a standard banjo axle diff for the Marathon MGB.
Any one have one?

You might strike lucky tomorrow at Stoneleigh. People would want money for it though as I understand they are in short supply as the racers keep using them up - like we did with TA diffs until we discovered the Ford diff could be made to fit the TC casing.
Although they won't be there tomorrow, you could try pulling the sympathy trick on Ron Gammons or Gerry Brown. Both are likely to have one kicking around somewhere I suspect.

Anyone know how to identify the difference between a 3.9 and 4.2 diff?

Is it likely to be marked on the casing?

Only stamping I can find at first glance in the gloom of my loft appear to be A+4 & B+7 which might relate to the shims.

The sure fire way of telling the ratio is to count the teeth on the crownwheel and pinion.

That is not as easy as it sounds in the darkness of the loft, whilst trying to balance the unit on a beam to stop it falling through the ceiling and not getting covered in grease. (I left the grease on it to preserve it when I put it in a plastic sack 20 years ago -it seems to have worked).

I was hoping there would be a marking on the case or crown wheel somwhere that one of our wise members would know about.
