air vents MkI vs MkII

Post by wprechsl »

Hello,
I'm Walter from near Stuttgart in Germany and I'm in the process of converting my American MkII body to MkI and sheet metal dashboard with a repair sheet.
Now I have to shorten the late (long) air vents to fit the old covers.
Can someone please tell me the exact position of the MkI slots?

Thanks in advance and sunny greetings
Walter

Good morning Walter, welcome to the forum. This is a difficult question! An answer will depend on someone with an early car measuring this for you - not many folk on here I think?

Hi Walter,
I have asked Pete Mchugh from the MK1 register to see if he can assist.

When I get a reply I will pass it on.

Kind regards
