Noisy tappets solution.
In April 2019 I had an article published in Enjoying MG, the monthly publication to MGOC members. I have been a member there since the 70's
The article described why wear and hence valve clearances occurs and a simple solution requiring few tools on how to remedy.
My MGB engine has covered some 50k miles with this modification and have never needed to adjust the tappets over this time.
The engine is therefore still quiet!
