Hi I am having ongoing issues with the speedo on a 3 synco non overdrive car. Original approx a year ago it started fluctuating quite a bit it was also leaking oil from the angled drive. I replaced this with a 2nd hand unit and fitted a new cable. When I took the car out of store after the winter last month the speedo wasn't working again on investigation I found the drive in angled unit had sheered off. I have found an NOS angle drive now the speedo reads but hangs when you slows and then suddenly drops to the correct speedo. I did wonder if the grease could have gone hard in the drive?

I have attached a drill at the gear box end of the cable and run up all seams normal- I wondered if anyone has had similar issues I have not investigated the gearbox pinion.
