Blue painted cylinder heads

Hello,
I have a B GT with a cylinder head painted blue. I spoke to the second owner of the car, who was told by the first owner, that the blue paint on the head indicated it was stage 2 tuned. I wonder if anyone else has ever heard this ?

Blue painted cylinder heads are a definite indication the engine builder had a pot of blue paint to use up.

Certain engine builders may choose to use different colours to designate states of tune such as porting etc but that is specific to each engine builder for stock recognition and sometimes marketing.
As far as I know there is no universal agreed colour designation for after market engine modifications.
