Hmm, that was suspiciously easy… I procured some suitably yellow paint from Halfords this morning and the sun was sufficiently warm to allow three coats to be applied before refitting. An easy job thanks to the radiator and alternator no longer being in the car.

A quick polish of the bolts (which is something I do to pretty much any fastener I remove and intend to reuse) and all bolted back together and the alternator replaced. Just the radiator to fit now, which will probably be tomorrow as I have the fins a couple of coats of satin black as they’d been knocked with all the steering rack mullarkey which went on last week.

Can anybody confirm for me that the fan is on the right way around? It looks like the manual entries, but I’d rather have a face-palm moment before the radiator goes back in!

Thanks all

Richard
