Sorry Graham I do not quite understand your question.

The Forum has been online since 2014 and all posts are available to view.

"Recent topics" on the Board Index page only shows the last 10 pages = 100 posts

Everything is still in place.

Hi Paul and Graham,
I have often wondered if the topics discussed on the forum could be collected together by subject, so that you could look down a menu and find links to your particular problem. I can remember most of the areas I have posted or replied too and try to point people to a post that has previously discussed the subject. However the way we seem to like to use the forum is best described as organic (or perhaps evolutionary) so a topic often digresses to another related subject. A recent example is:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=890
which started off discussing the use of relays in the headlight circuits and ended up talking about the optics of headlight beams - even lighthouses! So I think the task is nigh on impossible to achieve.
I am a member of other forums that represent a manufacturers model (Mercedes SLK is an example) but there are several versions of this model, each of which has their own problems so the task is somewhat easier. Here we deal with one model, the MGB, and the roadster and GT are so similar in so many aspects that this level of specialisation isn't needed I believe.
So lets keep thinks nice and simple, and it is easy to find old topics by using the search facility. For example if you search for 'Handling' - a topic I have commented on several times over the years, this will come up (currently) with 37 previous links to postings which contain references to handling, and the answer to a problem may well have been discussed within these already!

Thanks Pete,
I feel it could be the Recent Topics that might have actioned the question.

I thought rightly or wrongly it would show anyone coming across the forum would see the latest topics at a glance.

Sometimes topics do go out to sea, but it's all good info. I know about light scatter after a Pidgeon done my van headlight. Replacement light unit poor.. But "you get what you pay for" sums it up!!

Stay Safe
And thanks for your input as always

Regards
Paul 😎

Sometimes a thread starts off about a fairly mundane topic and develops into a thought provoking engineering issue. The recent one on 'Replacement Cylinder head' did just this, and as the topic developed I realised I hadn't really thought about all the issues of skimming a cylinder head. That was one I really enjoyed 'chewing the cud' over with Ian!

I really did - made a good diversion from formulating a Risk Assessment for re-opening our Village Hall! Thanks for the cerebral prompting.
