Kenlowe fan manual override switch, B gt

Post by Andrew Stacey »

Hello, and best wishes to you all during this difficult time. I have a 67 B gt fitted with a Kenlowe fan. I wish to add a manual override switch to the system, and despite have searched 'YouTube' etc, have failed to find a diagram that suits. I have added a standard four pin relay to the circuit, and presume that the fascia switch should also be wired through this ?
Any suggestions please ?

Andrew see attached circuit for fan with relay. The temp switch when it closes put the coil in the relay to earth energising the relay and powers the fan. Ignore the comment Davis Craig but this is the manual switch on the Davis Craig unit likewise creating the earth connection energising the relay you can do this with a switch connecting to earth. Hope you can follow this.

Hello and thank you Michael. I'll do my best, looks pretty clear, I'll get back to you, if I may, if I get stuck.
All the best,
Andrew.

Hi Andrew
The attached diagram may help. Your relay may not have a 87A Connection so just ignore.
Best regards
