I'm hoping for some advice!
I am replacing one of the front wings on my 1969 roadster, and of course the windscreen has to be removed as the pillars go through a hole in the wing.
I have got as far as removing the glove box liner and the fuel gauge. I can now easily remove the forward bolts, and I can see the rear bolts. Lots of people have told me I don't need to remove the dashboard as per the workshop manual, something I don't want to do as I will have to drive the car without the screen to the paintshop!
Any tips on removing the screen and refitting would be appreciated.

Peter
It is some time since I took the windscreen assembly off my 65 roadster and refitted it.
However I do remember there was no need to remove the fuel gauge or the glove box interior or facia.
I removed the door seal to allow access for spanners between the facia and the inner wing. I have ring spanners with no offset which are useful for this job. Thin open ended will do also. Bit of a fiddle at first to locate them on the nut but quite easy when a technique has been established. Don't forget the bolts on the base of the central pillar. When the bolts are undone best to stand in the car with the doors open and lift up. Be careful when refitting to get the correct alignment with the quarterlight seals.
Good luck

Re: Removing the windscreen on a roadster
Thanks George,
I hadn't thought of removing the door seals, so I'll try that to see if it improves access.
I'll report progress!

Trust me, removing it is a whole lot easier than refitting it!
