Garages near Nottingham

Post by timgrant »

Hi, new member Tim here. I've just bought my first MGB Roadster 1974 and whilst it's in good condition I'm looking for somewhere that can a) do me a full inspection, so that I know what's what and b) a garage that can do me a regular anual sevice, MOT, and any repairs. This could be the same place of course but does'nt have to be. Many thanks in advance.

Hi Tim, I live in Ripley just off Junction 26, don't know of any garages in Nottingham I use a local garage one man band who works on many vehicles and older units. He is sympathetic to classic cars especially the MOT test when checking CO2 etc. you could try contacting the local mg club in Notts for any advice the contact I have is.

In Alfreton there is the MG guru Peter Burgess who is a specialist in tuning, don't think he does services though but he is also willing to help.

In Chesterfield there is Steve Mckie who has full garage facilities and has worked on MG's for years.

Good luck
Michael

Hi a bit late but i use SPEEDY SPANNERS in Stapleford. The guys who run it are classic car nuts.
