The MGB Register will be supporting Flywheel 2017 - Advanced details :
Flywheel 2017 - the third annual showcase celebrating classic winged and wheeled vehicles - will run on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July 2017. Advance discounted tickets will go on sale later this month, just in time for the Christmas shopping frenzy.
Last year’s festival saw hundreds of historic cars, aircraft, motorbikes and military vehicles come alive on the demonstration track and in the sky at the UK’s best preserved Second World War Bomber Station, Bicester Heritage in Oxfordshire. The crowds were joined by Sir Stirling Moss OBE who, as well as signing autographs, was reunited with a host of his race-winning cars from the 1950s and 1960s.
While the theme is being kept closely under wraps, visitors are guaranteed an event that is even bigger and better than the two that have gone before. Plans are already firmly underway for the 2017 event, with organisers keen to further grow the attractions and increase the number of vehicles on display and demonstration.
Richard Grafton, commercial director at Flywheel, comments: “We were absolutely thrilled with the turnout at Flywheel 2016 and are delighted to be able to bring the event back for the third consecutive year. The event continues to grow and we are keen to ensure the programme is even more exciting than before, with something for all the family.”
Managing director at Flywheel, Duncan Wiltshire, adds: “Support from the historic community for our previous events has been overwhelming and the calibre of vehicles that people have put around our demonstration track or opened up to public display has been exceptional. We look forward to working closely with enthusiasts to deliver an even bigger and better event in 2017.”
