single 12v batteries

Post by lightning »

Many years ago I converted my batteries to a singlr 12v. which necessitatated removing the mouldings for clamps at the base (used on more modern vehicles). As it has finally expired, I would like to know what 12v batteries are best suited for a replacement together with a serial no.. Do Halfords supply a suitable one ? Thanks.

I have been using Tayna for my batteries and I recently fitted a B36 Varta Blue Dynamic Car Battery 12V 44Ah. It drops neatly into one of the holes. I ordered it on one day and it came the next! No connection with them

I have a single Halfords battery in my '67 BGT. The number is HCB063. I bought it just before the pandemic and so the battery spent time disconnected while the car was out of use. It held its' charge very well and without any additional charging has always been very lively on start up, so I am pleased with it.
Hope that helps, Geoff.
