Been using Tesco Momentum in my MGB for the past year or so and amongst other gains is that it never runs on now. The 99 octane must help.

I agree with you and John - fit the correct tyres and the steering is not heavy. Changing the profile too as you have done will help speedo accuracy.
As you can see I have a RV8 - now that does have heavy steering at parking speeds.

Charles
Afraid not.
The early rear view mirrors on roadsters are fitted to the central rod of the windscreen. The later ones are fitted to the screen surround.
I am looking for a dipping mirror to fit as original

MGB MK1 and 11 roadster rear view mirrow
Has anyone ever found a source of rear view mirrors for these cars ie rod mounted - which has the "dip" facility?
Fed up being blinded at night.
My only solution has been to turn the mirror so that the light shines back at the following car - not the best answer.

Re: Batteries
This is the battery type most used in MGBs pre rubber bumper when converting from 2 x 6 volt. http://www.tayna.co.uk/Type-202002L-Varta-Blue-Dynamic-Car-Battery-Short-Code-B36-Varta-DIN-544-401-420-P9038.html I fitted one three years ago - no problems maintenance free and cheap enough to throw away ...
