Re: Sump drain washer
Ian,
I'm amazed you can get away without any oil drips there without changing the copper washer!
I tend to add one or two washers to any other order i make for parts to save postage costs or the agro when i haven't got one to hand when required!
Cheers
Charles

Re: SU-HIF carbs idle speed
Before changing any components of the HIF carbs , it may be worth looking at John Twist's / University Motors videos on u-tube where he goes through the whole process of setting up HIF carbs on an MGB if you haven't already done so.

Re: Alternator not charging/ignition light not on
Hi Jon, If you are still using the alternator/water pump belt that was on the car when the ignition light came on & this continued with the replacement alternator when the engine was running, i would strongly recommend it is replaced with a new one as they do slip & are difficult to spot. In...

Re: Alternator not charging/ignition light not on
Hi Jon, The OE ACR alternators(certainly the later years)fitted to the MGB have an internal voltage regulator. The only separate voltage regulator is used for the fuel & electric temp gauges which is sited behind the instrument panel near the steering column. I assume the engine is running &...
