I forgot to mention that you can get rid of a lot of heat by putting on the heater to max temp and putting on the blower.

Hi John I think your car has an electric fan? If so it might be worth checking the fan thermostat and considering wiring in a manual overide. The main thing to remember in high ambient temperatures is to keep air moving through the radiator, as this will provide cooling even in 40Deg +. So traffic j...

Hi Jim
The MGC uses 15" wheels with 165/80 x 15 tyres and they fit ok under the same design of rear wheel arch. As George says they would offer you a usefull increase in overall gearing.
Remember the speedo might read slightly low, but you can check this using a satnav on a level road.
