So did the latex glove over oil filler cap and it dragged it straight in, so doesnt seem to be an issue with crankcase breathing. Thanks both, yes rebuilt by an engine builder that was recommended and smoke is out of exhaust, im thinking same, so will check valve seats and if we fitted new valve guides.
