Thanks for your replies took the wood out under the runners which has helped. As for putting the seat back in -thats fiddly

Seat adjustment
I am finding my MGBGT short of headroom. Not sure if the webasto sunroof takes any headroom but could do with an extra inch. Does anybody make lowered runners for the seats or has anybody got any tips. My car is 1974.

Brake Master Removal
Just rebuilt the brakes apart from master cylinder on my 1974 MGBGT. Bled the brakes got all air out on all four corners and still got a soft pedal. Tried again with engine running same result so the master cylinder seems to be faulty with no apparent leak. Is it possible to change the master cylind...

Trying to put the curclip back on that holds the wheel cylinder on the back plate on the rear brakes. What sadist invented these. I know you can get a special tool, slightly more difficult under the car than doing it on a vice!

I have just had my distributor rebuilt on my 1949 land rover. Getting the timing correct is proving to be a nightmare due to a lack of timing marks!
