Re: It’s gone! (And an offer)

Hi Steve, I’ve sent you a reply, but for everybody else’s benefit, the parking has been taken.

I’m absolutely certain that I’ll be in an MG at some point and now that it’s gone, I am feeling bereft. Hopefully Mrs. B will be on the mend soon and normal life can once more begin

It’s gone! (And an offer)

And I’m feeling a little bereft - I’ve listed a few parts on the sale section here but really wanted to thank everybody for all of the advice and help they’ve given on my MG journey, especially Paul Scott who has been an absolute lifeline on a number of occasions. That isn’t to say that Paul is the ...

A pair of Parabolics

Sadly I have sold my MGB GT and have in the garage a set of rear lights (quite used) and a pair of parabolic springs. The lights can be collected for free from Newport Pagnell The springs, probably a bit difficult to post, tbh, so probably best collected also - they have very little use but are used...

Re: A sad day, and a favour asked

Thanks chaps. The car is now on eBay for £10250 or near offer, and on car and classic for a bit less.

A sad day indeed, but I’ve enjoyed the car whilst I’ve had it and I’m sure that it will go to the right new owner, and once things level out, a new project will be on the horizon.

As promised, here’s a couple of pics to give you an idea of the car.

A sad day, and a favour asked

Sadly we’ve had some mildly distressing news which has bought some things into focus Chez Browne, and one of the outcomes for various reasons is that I am thinking seriously about selling my MG, which is something I didn’t think I’d be doing for many years. I don’t want to dwell on the reasons behin...

MG Live at Silverstone

Anybody go today? Was it a decent event? Anyone going tomorrow?

I’m planning on turning up with my rickety old GT and less rickety wife.

See you there if you are there on Sunday!

Re: MOT question

Perfect, thank you everyone. My plan is to run it a couple of weeks “self certified” and then get it properly tested again once I have some time to spare!

Re: MOT question

Hi Chris, thank you for the reply. The car is definitely registered as historic for tax purposes, but by the previous owner. I wonder how I can find out if the V112 has already been submitted?

MOT question

Very quick question from me - normally I MOT my cars and bikes regardless of exemption, but the ticket on my GT runs out in next week and I just don’t have time to arrange a test, and there are various events coming up which I don’t want to miss. I did once miss a test for my old BSA, but that was a...
