Axle Still Clunking after new cup washers & shims
I recently replaced the cup washers and shims in my '80 B rear axle to try to get rid of the clunk. One of the cup washers was clearly worn and like tin foil but nothing else seemed to be. After re-assembly the clunk is unchanged. The prop seems fine so I don't know whether to live with it or invest...

Suddenly not running right.
The old B has been going well lately until today whilst during a bit of spirited driving and a hump back bridge it suddenly will only rev with the choke out (literally just after the bump from the bridge!). I limped home driving on very light throttle which was OK but without the choke it won't rev ...

Misfire at 5000rpm
Just got my B back on the road after sitting for 20+ years and I'm in the process of getting everything set up - Generally runs OK, though has a bad misfire that comes in at 5000rpm and won't rev any more. Up to that the car accelerates well and seems to perform OK, though the carbs aren't perfectly...

Re: Folding Hood Frame Screws
I've got an old frame from a 1980 car that I don't need. Not sure if it has the same screws but I can have a look.

Re: Front wing difference
Thanks for the offer. I guess it depends on the price. My current options are either fix my existing ones which will cost next to nothing or buy some fibreglass ones for £125 each. Judging by the price of new steel wings I suspect yours would be worth more than I want to spend.

Re: Front wing difference
Thanks Pete, that's what I expected. I'll either buy some new glassfibre wings or repair my old steel ones.

Re: Fuel Pump
Anyone tried using a motorbike carb fuel pump with SUs? I use one for the Mikunis on my 7 and they are cheap, simple and very reliable.

Front wing difference
Hi, does anyone know what the difference between roadster and GT front wings is? Other than the slot for the windscreen frame are there any other differences? Reason for asking is I'm restoring a roadster on a budget and might be able to get some cheap glassfibre wings but I think that are from a GT...
