Re: Lucas bullets
Ive soldered the ones that I have added and replaced but with the intention of also going back and crimping them when the tool arrives. He had tried with the preferred username MGB281 then later tried starting with a new user name MGB182...

Door weather strip
One of my weather strips, that provides the seal on the outside against the base of the door glass, was in a bad way. A replacement has arrived but Im scratching my head as to how to fit it. Does the door glass need to come out to change or can it be done without ?

Re: Squeaking wheel
Another trick with the piston is to carefully rotate it a quarter of a turn whilst you are checking it/ pressing it back in. Ive resurrected 3 sticky calipers over the years just by doing this

Re: Squeaking wheel
Have you tried putting a small amount of copper grease/ anti slip compound on the back of the brake pads ? That usually fixes the front brake squeals for me

If you can PM me your email address Lindsay I can send photos of how the EPAS column is shortened and an example of how to make up the intermediate shaft and bearing.

Re: DIY power steering write up ?
Thanks Lindsay I dont have an oscilloscope sadly to check whether the Lite Steer GPS device's square wave output for the road speed is pull-up or pull-down. It may be worth advising Lite Steer you have a specific requirement, are aware they supply a device for the MGF but need them to confirm the ou...
