Mike,
What a simple solution - why didn't i think of that????!!!!!!
(Balancing the frames on the wooden laths & the spacers & keeping everything line up , whilst trying to get the bolts started, is decidedly frustrating).

Charles

Looking like an impressive result Chris!
Have fun getting the seats back in the car - they are a pain to do!

Re: Steering Rack Jammed
When fitting minilite / minator wheels you also need to be careful where the balancing weights are placed - they need to be set back from the inside rim / inside face by circa 20 mm , otherwise the track rod fouls the weights when the wheel is turned to the L / R rather than the straight ahead posit...

Re: Any paint guru’s out there
Hi Dave, When i refurbished under the bonnet 3 - 4 years ago i used 400ml spray cans of Snapdragon supplied by MGOC spares together with top quality laquer & a primer from Halfords & am pleased with the overall match with the rest of the car where the paint is essentially original. I have ju...

MGB Register Spring Run 2022
A big thank you for the organisers of this year's Spring run which must have taken Joan & Roger Cooper, John Watson, Neil Hyett et al some considerable time to put together. The tulip diagrams & descriptions were pretty faultless although my passenger & i made a mistake at the "Road...

Re: Electronic ignition and silicone plug leads
I fitted a 123 Distributor way back in 2011 & have never regretted it , albeit it is probably at the more expensive end of the market. (The fitting notes / tips said "Resistor- core silicone ignition-leads are the better choice"). I appreciate that some owners have had different experi...

Re: Sealing oil cooler lines
Dick, I'm not sure what year your car is,but Moss shows 2 different sets of hoses for the chrome bumpered cars & depending on year the hoses at the oil filter end appear to be connected the other way round. The respective lengths of the hoses may well be different, which could be part of the pro...
