Hi,
Hope you are ok.
I am trying to replace the centre rod on my roadster and am not managing to find a way how to do it. Any suggestions.
Thanks in advance and regards

Re: wind screen centre rod
Hi Mario
To do this you have to remove the 2 bolts that secure the lower bracket - which is not easy as the rake of the windscreen restricts access to these from above. Once you have removed these 2 bolts you can start to undo the top fixing by removing the domed nut which might allow you pull the lower bracket out a little to give enough room to work the rod out of the top bracket and so remove it.
It might be easier if you drill out the rivets holding the top bracket to the screen frame but then you will have problems replacing the rivets as part of the old ones will be hindering the fitting of the new rivets.
