I read the artical in this months newsletter about non opening boot latches. It has happened twice to me and the boot was opened with no damage to
the boot or paintwork. Method 1: Stick gaffer tape round the latch. Cut a hole in an old sheet, place over latch and stick more gaffer tape round the
latch. Cut off latch with thin metal disc. Method 2: With 12mm drill drill out the lock barrel. Keep drilling untill bits fall into boot revealing the latch.
A screwdriver can then act as the key untill new lock is fitted.

Re: Roadster boot latch
Thanks Anthony, much better than cutting a hole in the boot lid which I have heard people have resorted to in the past.
Re: Roadster boot latch
I have had this problem and now need to replace the barrel. Has anyone managed to find a barrel. The ingnition barrel fits but there is no hole in the end to attach the opening device. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Re: Roadster boot latch
Alan,
I'm not sure if this is what you need..
https://www.scparts.co.uk/sc_en/locking ... gIp0vD_BwE
It does say ignition & boot lock & the image looks like it has a holes in the bottom end.
Regards
Paul
