Damak Red dilema

Hi
I'm currently restoring a factory V8 and almost ready for painting, have looked at various Damask red cars and there seems to be some variation. Some shades look quite brown and the colour charts on the web don't help much, the codes I've found are BLVC99, RD29, RD5.
I would be interested in anyone who's chosen this colour and what it actually looked like on the car.
