My 1977 BGT has a dateless registration number and I have the black and silver plates from the donor vehicle, a 1963 Talisman Tornado. These plates somehow don't look right on a rubber bumper B in my opinion.

I have a 30 year old set of pressed aluminium plates for the '75 RB Midget, which were only show plates when we first got the car in '93 but now they are road legal. They look grand on the car.

I just bought a set from Classic Plates Online for my '78 RB GT. They are silver on black acrylic as they are easiler to keep and don't have any BS numbers or Postcodes on them.
They seem good quality and delivery was quicker than the quoted 10 days.

No V5C changed hands. They confirmed that pre 1980 vehicles registered as Historic don't require BS numbers or post codes on the plates.
