Fuel Gauge

Post by AndyC »

Having problems with the fuel gauge not showing correct level. Changed the float in the tank no difference. Changed the voltage stabiliser and the guage started to show quarter full which was about right. However the gauge has now started showing between a quarter and a half on turning the ignition key and the needle strangely shudders at reaching a quarter, but once I start motoring the gauge goes up to full when I know it now has a quarter or less in it. Any solutions out there?

If you haven't already had a look at Paul Hunt's excellent web site you should read the long section on Fuel Gauges. Find it here
