anti freeze
Just getting around to flushing out the cooling system and refilling. I am using Bluecol 2 year-which seems to be right. The can says 25% or 33% or 50% depending on protection required. Does a higher concentration of antifreeze=better corrosion protection?

Re: anti freeze
Alan I always use a 50/50 mix. I use rainwater from the butt as this is a very hard water area where I live. This ratio is for maximum frost protection.
As for corrosion protection I would imagine that up to a certain ratio there could be more protection against corrosion. Incidentally, it's not the antifreeze property that decreases over time but the corrosion protection does.

Vic
Thanks. I will go for 50/50. I was not aware that it is the corrosion protection that deteriorates-I shall be diligent about regular changing in future!
