Resistor plugs with suppression leads

Post by David Witham »

I have 8mm suppression leads from Accuspark on my B. The spark plugs I was using were NGK BP6ES. Unfortunately, I have now managed to buy the resistor model BPR6ES.

Clearly, the resistor function in the plug is unnecessary as I have the suppression leads but will it be a problem? Eg weaker spark.

Hi David
I've used BP and BPR plugs (when I had a modified Mk1 Mini Cooper) without changing the plug leads and didn't notice any difference between them. The suppressor is to stop interference on old fashioned tube type TVs so probably not now the problem it once was.
