Please Help...

Post by DBJcfc »

Good Afternoon All,

I am not sure if this is the right place to begin but i am trying to locate a car that my Grandfather painstakingly restored over many years.

It was a Racing Green, MGB GT Reg no: BVT 317H

He is getting on in life now (93 years old) and if possible i would love for him to see it/ take a ride again.

...I just hope the current owners have given it the same TLC that he did. From memory i think he sold it on about 5-6 years ago.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Many Thanks,

David

H David,
The good news is it is still taxed and MOT'd until November, so obviously it is on the road. All you can do is publicise your request for the current owner to come forward and contact you. Here is a good place and also a letter to the MG Car Club magazine Safety Fast, similar to The MG Owners Club forums and magazine 'Enjoying MG' and perhaps a letter to MG Enthusiast magazine.

The recent changes to data security have made this sort of trace much more difficult.

Hi David, I've checked the Car Club MGB Register and unfortunately it's not on there so I am unable to help. It's worth contacting other places as Peter has suggested. Owners Club also have a 'Lost and Found' page that you can add your details too.
