I have spoken to him today and he mentioned that he could want a small amount of engineering work doing in exchange, i jokingly told him that it would definitely be a small amount! hes a great chap and i know th...

1967 GT Value ?

A friend of mine has a 1967 GT parked up uncovered in some woodland for over 20 yrs, I took a look at it on the weekend with a view to using as a source of parts for my roadster. as you can imagine the body is looking very sad for itself but the interior is still in remarkably good shape, instrument...

Re: Handling on standard wires ?

Thanks for your replys, I certainly don't want to start changing things for the sake of it and as mentioned a few small mods will be adequate, I've always fancied taking a car up Prescott hill but have never gotten round to it, maybe this could be the car to try it in.!

Re: whats it worth ?

Hi Peter, Thanks for your comments, I think the best thing I can do is go and take a look, it could just be a case of using the car for parts providing they are usable, I believe it has an overdrive box which I could use for my mk 1 , I could also use the relevant parts if I decide to convert mine t...

whats it worth ?

Hi All, i've been offered a 1967 roadster that has been sat in a field for some 20 yrs plus, I believe that its only being held together by the vegetation that's covering it, I believe the present owner has a rust free bare shell that he shipped in from the states some years ago that's currently sit...

Re: Engine number

I can't seem to identify your engine number from my reference book, the 18v engine number started in 1971 but nothing matching yours, could it be that the engine started life in a non mgb ?

Re: new member with 1967 roadster

Well, I was amazed to find thirty year old fuel still in the tank so drained the tank cleaned the carbs swapped the worn distributor and checked the fuel pump operation so hopefully get some fresh fuel in the tank over the weekend and fingers crossed I will have a running engine.

Re: new member with 1967 roadster

Thanks Adrian, I have now collected the car and can tell from the pictures its definitely a 3 synchro tunnel , I haven't really had a chance to give the car a really good check over yet except for trying to turn the engine over after filling the cylinders with duck oil a few days before and was plea...
