Re: Engine mud shield / radiator cowl ?

The lower duct arrived quickly and was very straightforward to fit. Its in durable ABS plastic and just looks right now fitted around the new oil cooler

Re: Oil cooler, late RB car

The new oil cooler and pipes are in. An absolute breeze to fit after the unnecessary struggle of trying to work with the wrong hose.

Re: Oil cooler, late RB car

The hose from the rear of the engine is original, though Im not clear on whether it was initially in that position as the friend who stripped down the engine bay had used it to temporally loop the oil flow between there and the oil filter housing. Ive only assumed it is intended to be the rear hose ...

Re: Oil cooler, late RB car

Are they the standard length hoses ? I have been really struggling with mine as the hoses are so tight they need to go direct. I dont have the option of taking one or both of my oil cooler hoses abound the back of the fan motor for instance as they then wouldnt reach the oil cooler. Right now the on...

Oil cooler, late RB car

The oil cooler on post 1977 cars hangs in front of the bottom of the radiator. At my first attempt at fitting this the hose to the far side of the oil cooler fouled the electric fan. Re: Engine mud shield / radiator cowl ?

David Manners group confirmed they can do one for £ 29 + Vat with free shipping. They quoted 10 days lead time so it sounds like they are getting them made to order.

Ive gone for this as Paul Copeland who supplied the stainless steel mud shield doesn't make a front duct

Re: Engine mud shield / radiator cowl ?

Ive also realised there are also some remnants of another cardboard type cowling that goes in front of the radiator and oil cooler. Does anyone know what part this might be please ? from the end pieces Id say it doesnt look as deep as the air duct tray that was on 1974 to 1976 Bs, part no BHH1622, p...

Re: Electrics: replugging and routing the loom

Thanks Charles. Would it be practical to take a photo head on of the jumble of wires and bullet connectors where the looms meet under the brake master cylinder, please. Id be particularly interested in where a single rising white wire (definitely just W), from the lower harness (not gearbox harness)...
