Update, after a fair amount of fiddling, a few swear words and the odd grunt......... the cowl is fitted. Can't take the credit as a pal stepped in and managed to sort it. So, it seems the wiring on the replacement stalks is not as neatly trimmed, and needs to be pushed and pulled into place to enab...

So, I bought a new stalk. Mine has the horn in the centre of the steering wheel, so I ordered the "no horn" version. Stripped out the old one easily enough, and popped the new one in easy peasy. But although the new one fits and appears to work ok, ie it now self cancels, I simply can't ge...
