Putting the distributor back

I have an optronic distribution 45D on an 81 GT. I had to remove it as the vac advance failed - lack of vacuum and a new one now fitted. Re: Rheostat

Hi yes the led doesn’t dim.Have put both the connectors into one side of the rheostat therefore get full light on all the time and the dimmer light is therefore redundant. Light on the dash is super bright vs what it was before and feels a bit safer..god knows why a dimmer would be added to these ca...

Re: Clutch issues

Just checked clutch fluid level is zero..rookie error..doesn’t seem to have leaked either as there are no wet patches underneath or in the cab.
Been told that dot 4 is best ? Mine is a yellowy colour.. though assume it’s the same as brake fluid..
Thanks

Re: Improvement ideas

Main areas for me are looks and performance but open to any ideas. In terms of cost might be best to have a scale cheap modest expensive?

Rheostat

Managed to remove the black knob through the hole on the side but how do you remove the rheostat that sits behind. I’m struggling to get my hand behind the dash but is it screwed in do I need to loosen something to the front first? Problem is that the dimmer only illuminates when it’s about half way...

Improvement ideas

I’m sure this has been covered but wanted to get some opinions on what improvements on the B are really worth doing? I’ve done a few cosmetic things, LED dash bulbs and headlights, new wheel, walnut dash, magnolia gauges, leads, hoses, air filter, carbs stripped, rocker cover with a better seal, fue...

Gauges for sale

I don’t know the rules for selling on here so apologies if not allowed but I have 4 gauges, oil, temp, fuel and clock that I don’t need. All in working order from a 80 GT comes with attachments as well.
Let me know if any interest - no real idea on how much but happy to receive any offers.
Thanks
