Thank you everyone who responded to my question regarding Stage 2 cylinder head modification for my MGB.
It has been very helpful in understanding this process. I will now make a decision as to what route to go.

Re: Running On
Hi Geoff/George & Peter
Thanks for your response to my problem.
Have recently filled up with 'super petrol' and problem appears to have been solved.
Will try long run next year and book session on 'rolling road' if it is still a problem
Once again thanks for your suggestions.

Running On
My MGB has started to 'Run On' when turning ignition off. A few months ago the carbs where refurbished with new jets, floats etc. Tried slowing 'tick over' to nearly stalling- no improvement. I currently use a Millers additive to combat 'Ethanol' in petrol which also adds 1 or 2 Octane. Slight impro...

Squeak from rear suspension
I had Parabolic Springs & Gaz shocks front & rear fitted earlier this year on my 1974 Roadster. Squeak has appeared from rear as suspension goes up/down. Tried lubricating all rubber bushes and points along parabolic springs. I am very happy with this change in the suspension, but what can b...

Re: Parabolic leaf springs/GAZ shocks
HI Geoff & Jim
Thank you both for your suggestions regarding settings for shocks/tyre pressures..
Set up is now 6 clicks up from minimum on front & 4 clicks up for rear.
Also set tyre pressures 28 psi front & 25 psi for rear.
Car rides very good now, pleased with result.

Re: Parabolic leaf springs/GAZ shocks
Hi Geoff Thanks for getting back to me. Currently running 25 psi on front tyres & 28 psi on rears. Still in the trial period with the shocks. Have set both front & rear to 10 clicks harder from middle position. Realize this is not any good as car oscillates at this. Next adjustment, I will t...

Parabolic leaf springs/GAZ shocks
Recently changed to Parabolic leaf springs & GAZ shock absorbers all round .MGB c/b 1974
Shocks initially set to mid-setting, but very 'bouncy'. Tried setting harder but still a lot of movement.
Anybody changed to this spring/shock absorber configuration?
What is the setting for the shocks?
