Moss 3K uprated heater

I have specified a Moss 3K uprated heater for my new heritage/new build MGB from CCHL. I have not had an MGB for 50 years and a 75 year old wants to keep warm with the hood down. Has anyone ever bought this item, as rather expensive, so it better be good!

Re: MGB Bedouin

The Heritage body MGB which I ordered from CCHL in April 2017 has not arrived yet, but I have photos which indicate it might be soon. Mazda 5 speed box/clutch , power steering, Ivor Searle Stage 2 engine, Dunlop c/d type alloy wheels. I think it will be a great car but a bit mad to spend 33K.

Re: MGB Bedouin

After various letters were sent to the owner of my bought new in 1970 MGB Bedouin FGN 329J, via DVLA and the insurer Hagerty, I never got a reply. Clearly he does not want to sell, but the DVLA MOT history gives a rather sorry story, of a car not being used. I decided in 2017 to build a new car in t...

Re: MGB Bedouin

Just an update on finding my old MGB FGN 329J. DVLA rejected my first open letter to pass on to the existing owner. There must be nothing commercial in the letter, (buying/selling etc.), but they will pass on my new open letter posted 4th February, as I offered the existing owner original invoices a...

Re: MGB Bedouin

I have some really good news. DVLA have written to me returning my open letter to the existing owner, asking me to re-submit it with a V888 form plus £5. They will then send it on to the current owner. DVLA say they need to check my letter "to ensure the content is not offensive in any way"...

Re: MGB Bedouin

I need to get to the next stage of trying to find FGN 329J. "Wanted" advertisement is in Car and Classic but Classic cars for Sale refuse "wanted" inserts. Also letters sent to DVLA and M.I.D for passing on and will be repeated in case their different personnel act differently. M...

Re: MGB Bedouin

Yes, I am going to punt open letter to the current owner, with covering plea, to MID in Milton Keynes. Yes I am going to contact ClassicCars for Sale and Car and Classic to see if they will arrange a "find my car" type insert. I cannot find any green (originally Bedouin beige) 1970 MGB's f...

Re: MGB Bedouin

Thank you for all your replies. I am now actively looking for my 1970 car to act as the donor for as new re-build. Unfortunately FGN 329J is not on the MGCC or MGOC register. Are there any other registers? Also why would an MGB owner not bother with being a member of a specialist club? Another forum...

MGB Bedouin

I am new to the register. I bought a new MGB roadster in December 1970 in what was rare colour Bedouin/ Autumn Leaf trim FGN 329J from University Motors, London, but only kept for 2 years, due to company car. I have missed it for nearly 47 years!! I would like to buy it back (love Bedouin!), but see...
