Re: MGB Bedouin
Hi Andrew, what a shame the present owner didn't do the right thing and let you know. However, can you be sure the letters got to the owner, ie if he is on a foreign posting and only comes back once every two years. I say that because that is what happened with someone I contacted, I got their reply...

Re: New to forum
George, I'm intrigued how you know this car was tested in Harlow. I would like to learn how one can discover the location of an MOT test centre from the DVLA website. This would be most useful in my researches.
Thank you, Keith

Re: Window winder (or regulator) mechanism
Thank you David, and Ian, I now have a feeling that this is a job that is probably going to take all winter, but with all these tips, and plenty of silicone on the channels, plus I was hoping to add weld to any damaged teeth, but that depends upon the metal used. Anyway I could be back in business, ...

Re: Window winder (or regulator) mechanism
Morning, Vic, thank you, sound advice and which I normally apply in any case, having had similar experiences. The problem with these window winders is that as far as I can tell no-one seems to be remanufacturing them or the spare parts, not even a nasty Chinese approximation, which would be a good b...

Re: Window winder (or regulator) mechanism
Thanks Ian, that is encouraging news. What adustments are possible in your view?
I will have a go at it this winter
Also I hope to get a few more replies with do's and don't do's and tips on sourcing replacement parts maybe.
Cheers, Keith

Window winder (or regulator) mechanism
Hello everyone, I have a 1966 MGB and I have now had most things on the car restored, except the LH and RH door window winder mechanisms (or regulators as Moss refer to them). They are the originals and are very stiff and the winder handle occasionally even jumps a tooth or three. The glass needs a ...

Re: MGB Bedouin
Hello Andrew, good luck with the search. I believe all car Insurance companies automatically advise a central database, which is consulted by MOT stations etc., called MID, at https://ownvehicle.askmid.com/ whether they will pass on the name of the owner (assuming they even know it, which I don't th...

Re: MGB Price List from 1966
Thank you Peter, that is really useful, somewhat under £1000 would appear to be about right, £885 in 1965 and £919 in 1967. I will look out for these two publications on eBay they both sound worth having. I will also continue to look on there for a 1966 MGB price list, just about every make imaginab...
